CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-171 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF 1980-81 INSURANCE PROGRAM FOR CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has been self-insured for municipal liability <br /> since 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City has provided Statutory California Worker's <br />Compensation benefits for it's employees under a self- <br />insured program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />at their meeting of July 8, 1980, the City Council <br />received and reviewed a report dated July 2, 1980 from <br />the Director of Finance reviewing insurance coverages <br />and cost breakdown of policies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />claims administration of the Self-Insurance Worker's <br />Compensation Program has been handled by E.S.I.S. since <br />1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, R. L. Kautz & Company has handled the claims administration <br /> of the Self-Insured Municipal Liability Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has been satisfied with their services during this <br /> time. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the City's 1980-81 insurance coverage as follows: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Canadian Indemnity Insurance Co., $4,000,000 <br />of Municipal Liability Insurance excess of <br />the $50,000 S.I.R., with a $300,000 annual <br />Stop Loss <br /> <br />$28,000 <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Lexington Insurance Co., $9,000 Umbrella <br />Liability <br /> <br />12,000 <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Continental Insurance Co., Property and <br />Crime, Policy No. CBP 9505039 <br /> <br />17,119 <br /> <br />d) <br /> <br />Employer's Reinsurance Corp., Excess <br />Worker's Compensation <br /> <br />18,300 <br /> <br /> <br />
