CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO, 80-170 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF THE 911 AGREEMENT <br />WITH ALAMEDA COUNTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at their meeting of July 8, 1980, received <br />a report from the Assistant to the City Manager dated July <br />1, 1980, regarding the extension of the 911 trial partici- <br />pation agreement with Alameda County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 911 trial participation agreement between the cities <br /> of Alameda and the county of Alameda has expired; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this agreement governed the cities' participation in the <br />county wide 911 emergency telephone system on a two year <br />trial basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />during this trial period an evaluation of the automatic <br />location identification feature of the 911 system was to <br />by made, however, this evaluation is not scheduled to <br />begin until sometime in October; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />to accommodate the undertaking of this evaluation, each <br />city within the county is being asked to approve the <br />attached modification to the 911 trial participation <br />agreement to extend the agreement for seventeen months; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the extension of the <br /> 911 trial participation agreement for seventeen months. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute the attached agreement. <br /> <br />Section 3.
