CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-169 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING STAND-BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at their meeting of July 8, 1980, <br />received a report from the City Manager, dated June <br />20, 1980, regarding the appointment of three stand- <br />by officers by each Councilmember; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 357 eastablishes the office of stand-by <br />Councilmembers to provide for the continuance of the <br />legislative body of the City Council in case of a <br />disaster; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, three stand-by officers are to be appointed by each <br /> Councilmember; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the duties of the stand-by Councilmembers are as in <br />Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein <br />by reference; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the City Council hereby appoints the following <br /> stand-by Councilmembers: <br /> <br />Mayor Mercer Designates <br /> <br />1. Ronald Smith <br />2. Gary Hofstede <br />3.
