CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-189 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT FOR GOLDEN GATE RACQUET- <br />BALL COURTS AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-80-6 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of July 22, 1980 received <br />a proposed negative declaration for Golden Gate Racquet- <br />ball Courts, a 33,920 sq. ft. racquetball facility on a <br />1.23 acre site at Old Hopyard Road just south of 1-580 <br />(hereinafter referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the staff has determined that the proposed Golden Gate <br />Racquetball Courts is a project for the purposes of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental <br />Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the <br />City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66 was prepared for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of July 22, 1980 also <br />received the Initial Study dated July 9, 1980; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed <br />Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on <br />the proposed environmental assessment, which had been <br />published in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of <br />general circulation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact <br />Report as they pertain to requirements for Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project <br /> would not have any significant adverse effects on the <br /> environment and therefore no Environmental Impact Report <br /> shall be prepared. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City staff is directed to cause a Notice of <br /> Determination to be filed pursuant to Section 5.4(g) <br /> of Resolution No. 77-66. <br /> <br /> <br />
