CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-181 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION TO QUITCLAIM EASEMENTS AND INTENTION TO <br />ABANDON THE OLD ALIGNMENT OF BLACK AVENUE AND SETTING <br />A PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of July 8, 1980, received <br />and reviewed a report dated July 1, 1980 from the Director <br />of Engineering Services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in order to award a Quitclaim Deed from the City of <br />Pleasanton to Morrison Homes for the old alignment of <br />Black Avenue, it will be necessary for the City Council <br />to pass a resolution of intention to abandon the old <br />alignment of Black Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing must be held before the City may abandon <br /> public property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the staff recommends the quitclaim of two existing temporary <br />storm drainage easements which were determined to no longer <br />be needed since all the storm drainage in the area has been <br />piped and new easements have been dedicated. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council declares the intention to abandon the <br /> old alignment of Black Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2. Sets a public hearing for July 22, 1980, at 8:00 p.m., <br /> at the Fairgrounds Cafeteria regarding abandonment of <br /> Old Black Avenue Alignment. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorizes execution of Quitclaim Deed from the City <br /> of Pleasanton to Morris~n. Homes of two temporary storm <br /> drainage easements described in Exhibit A, attached hereto <br /> and incorporated h&~sin by reference. <br /> <br />Section 4.
