CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF pLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-240 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 76~79 (ESTABLISH- <br />ING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS FOR CITY STREETS) BY AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 13f-3 AND 13n-1 RELOCATING THE BUS STOPS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, on April 12, 1976, adopted Resolution <br />No. 76-79 (AResolution Establishing Traffic Regulations <br />for City Streets);and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended Resolution <br /> No. 76-79; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />citizens'requestes were presented to the Staff Traffic <br />Committee to paint directional pavement arrows on <br />Neal Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to accomplish this it is recommended that the bus stop <br /> be relocated farther away from the intersection;and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />due to increased traffic and congestion at the inter- <br />section of First Street and Vineyard Avenue, it is <br />recommended that the northbound bus stop be relocated <br />to the northeast corner of First and Kottinger, which <br />would free the right-turn lane and allow buses to merge <br />into the through lane before the intersection. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic <br /> Regulations for City Streets) is hereby amended by <br /> amending Section 13f-3 in its entirety as follows: <br /> <br />"13f-3 <br /> <br />On the easterly side of First Street from 20 <br />feet northerly of the northerly curb return <br />from Kottinger Avenue to 80 feet northerly <br />from that return." <br /> <br />Section 2: Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic <br /> Regulations for City Streets) is hereby amended by <br /> amending Section 13n-1 in its entirety as follows: <br /> <br />"13n-1 <br /> <br />On the southerly side of Neal Street from 67 <br />feet westerly of the westerly curb return <br />from First Street to 115 feet westerly from <br />that return." <br /> <br />Section 3: Staff is directed to paint directional arrows at <br /> the intersection of Neal and First Streets. <br /> <br /> <br />
