CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-232 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING 1980-81 OPERATING BUDGET TO <br />ALLOW FOR THE HIRING OF ONE JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER <br />AND ONE ENGINEERING DRAFTSPERSON <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />upon assuming the position of Director of Public Works <br />and Utilities, Mr. Warnick was asked to review the <br />workload of the Engineering Department as it relates <br />to current and anticipated workload; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />Mr. Warnick has determined that it is necessary to <br />immediately employ one Junior Civil Engineer and one <br />Engineering Draftsperson; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the two positions can be financed by the additional <br />revenues being generated as a result of increased con- <br />struction activities in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the amendment of the 1980-81 Operating Budget <br /> to allow for the hiring of one Junior Civil Engineer <br /> and one Engineering Draftsperson. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON SEPTEMBER 16, 1980 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood ~L~ <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> : <br /> <br /> ~r , C ~ ~ ' <br /> es .
