CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-222 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING MOVING OF WESTWIND YOUTH BUILDING <br />TO AMADOR HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS <br /> <br />Pleasanton Youth Incorporated (P.Y.I~) purchased the <br />old Alameda County Library building in 1974 and had <br />it moved to Amador Park; and <br /> <br />before termination of P.Y.I., it transferred ownership <br />of the building to the City of Pleasanton which has <br />heavily used the building for youth activities and <br />adult classes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />due to the frequent and sometimes unsupervised use of <br />the building, it has fallen into a state of disrepair; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />representatives of the Amador High School Student Body <br />proposed that the building be moved onto the Amador <br />campus to be used as a Student Union; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council approves the moving of the Westwind <br /> Youth Building to the Amador High School campus to be <br /> used as the Student Union Building with the stipulation <br /> that the City retains the use of the building for its <br /> present programs. <br /> <br />Section 2: The staff is instrucDed to contact the. School <br /> Administrator to make sure theXstilil ~ant the building <br /> and then proceed accordingly/ <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON AUGUST 26, 1980 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />ABSENT: None /~i~,~ <br /> ERcER, MAYOR <br /> R.
