CITY )UNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLE~ NTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-260 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION FOR FIFTEEN (15) SEPARATE SITES AND <br />ELIMINATING THE URBANIZATION LINE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of October 14, 1980 <br />received a proposed negative declaration for General <br />Plan Amendments for fifteen (15) separate sites (described <br />on the attached Exhibit A) and to eliminate the General <br />Plan Urbanization Line; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed General Plan <br />Amendments are a project for the purposes of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental <br />Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City <br />Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. <br />77-66 was prepared for the project; and <br /> <br />the.City-~6uncil.at its meeting of October 14, 1980 <br />also received that Initial Study dated August 21, 1980; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed <br />Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact <br />Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the General Plan <br /> Amendments to change the land use designation for <br /> fifteen (15) separate sites (described on Exhibit A) <br /> eliminating the Urbanization Line would not have any <br /> significant adverse effects on the environment and, <br /> therefore, no Environmental Impact Report shall be <br /> prepared. <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> <br />
