CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-256 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF PROPOSITION I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Proposition I is a measure providing $285 million dollars <br />for acquisition and development of parks and recreation <br />programs which will be on the November 4, 1980 ballot <br />for consideration by the California voters; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on September 24, 1980 the Parks and Recreation Com- <br />mission passed Resolution 80-6 in support of Proposition <br />I as it considers the passage of Proposition I extremely <br />important to continue to improve the parks and recreation <br />programs in the State of California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />$85 million dollars of this program will be distributed <br />to local governments in a similar manner as that used <br />for distribution of the 1976 Park Bond and spending <br />decisions will be made locally. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: After due consideration, the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton approves of Proposition I and extends <br /> its full support for the passage of the proposition in <br /> the November election. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 14, 1980 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Councilmembers <br />Mayor Mercer <br />None <br /> <br />- Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> R.
