CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-246 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROCEDURAL ACCOMMODATION <br />RELATIVE TO THE TIMING AND FILING OF TENTATIVE MAPS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the issue has been raised requesting that the Residential <br />Allocation Program be changed to allow tentative maps <br />to be approved prior to RAP processing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />there are numerous reasons for prohibiting filing of <br />subdivision maps prior to RAP approval, which include <br />time limitations for the map, loss of City's control <br />of development, and the time and expense of processing <br />tentative maps; and <br /> <br />in order to effect the above-requested procedure, <br />ordinance and general plan changes would be necessary; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />a procedure to accomplish the above proposal without <br />changes in the Ordinance Code and general plan was <br />outlined by the City Attorney in his report to the <br />Council dated September 22, 1980. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves a procedural accommodation relative to the <br /> timing and filing of Tentative Maps for those developers <br /> desiring to move their projects ahead rapidly after RAP <br /> approval whereby the engineering staff will review and <br /> comment on maps prior to RAP without formal acceptance <br /> thereof at no expense to the City. <br /> <br />Section 2: Directs staff to provide the waiver form to the <br /> developers and notify all developers of this procedural <br /> accommodation. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON SEPTemBER 23, 1980 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and <br /> <br /> <br />
