CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-278 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO PROCEED <br />WITH RENOVATION OF POLICE BUILDING BY PURCHASE <br />ORDERS FOR LABOR AND MATERIALS ON THE OPEN MARKET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the bid opening for the renovation of the interim <br />police building was scheduled for October 21, 1980 <br />at 2:00 p.m., but no bids were received; and <br /> <br />the project was advertised for bid in the local <br />newspaper on October 7th and 14th and two contractors <br />took out plans, however, neither one submitted a <br />bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />several local contractors were contacted to submit <br />bids and all refused due to the fact that they were <br />too busy. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the City Manager to proceed with the <br /> renovation project by purchase orders for labor and <br /> materials on the open market. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 28, 1980 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />v , City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
