WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> P. O. BOX 520 -:- PLEA~NTON, CALIFORNIA 94566 <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-274 <br /> RESOLUTION CO~MENDING ROBERT MOOREFIELD AND THE <br /> FOOTHILL BA~D BOOSTERS <br /> <br />for six consecutive years the Foothill High School Band Boosters <br />and the Foothill High School Falcon Band have jointly sponsored <br />and hosted a colorful and entertaining band review and field <br />competition showcasing not only the outstanding high school <br />marching bands and auxilliary units of the Amador Valley but <br />also those of other communities throughout California; and <br /> <br />I~HEREAS, <br /> <br />this annual band review and field competition provides a positive <br />and rewarding, experience in the realm of music and showmanship <br />for the young people of this state and also gives them well- <br />deserved recognition for their efforts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Foothill Band Review and Field Competition also provides <br />unexcelled family entertainment suitable for young and old <br />alike; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Foothill Band Review and Field Competition honors not only <br /> the participating schools but also the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />I~DW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'i]~E CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Foothill Falcon Band, its director: Mr. Robert Moorefield, <br /> the Foothill Band Boosters and all their loyal and enthusiastic <br /> supporters of the past and present are publicly commended for <br /> their achievements. <br /> <br />Section 2: As evidence of its pride and appreciation, the City Council <br /> of the City of Pleasanton presents the Foothill Falcon Band, <br /> its director, Mr. Robert Moorefield, its 1980 drum major, Chris <br /> Cromwell, and the Foothill Band Boosters and their 1980 president, <br /> Mrs. Ruth Cromwell, and 1980 Band Review and Field Competition <br /> director, Mr. Walter Boiling, with suitably prepared copies of <br /> this resolution. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY UNANIMOUS VOTE ON CTOBER , · . <br /> <br />ATTESTs..
