CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-273 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO PARTICIPATE IN <br />THE STATE ABANDONED VEHICLE ABATEMENT PROGRAM AND TO <br />EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF THE CALIFORNIA <br />HIGHWAY PATROL REGARDING PARTICIPATION IN THE P~OGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />California Vehicle Code Sections 9250.7 and 22710 provide <br />for an Abandoned Vehicle Trust Fund and a method of <br />disbursement of funds to local agencies that participate <br />in the State Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton, California, has adopted an <br />Ordinance in accordance with the California Vehicle Code <br />providing for the abatement of abandoned vehicles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton, California, desires to participate <br />in the State Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program and <br />share in the monies in said Abandoned Vehicle Trust Fund: <br /> <br />NOW, <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Pleasanton partici- <br /> pate in the State Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program <br /> for the 1980-81 fiscal year; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED TRAT the City Manager is hereby authorized <br /> to execute the contract with the Department of the California <br /> Highway Patrol for participation in the State Abandoned <br /> Vehicle Abatement Program. <br /> <br />ON MOTION OF Robert Butler seconded by Walter Wood <br /> the foregoing order i~ adopted this 28th day of October, <br /> 1980, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart ~ <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FO~: <br />ine,it <br /> <br /> <br />
