CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAFfEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 80-267 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION OF CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE VEHICLE CODE ON PRIVATE PARKING FACILITIES SERVING SHOPPING CENTERS WHEREAS, recent discussions with police administrators who have large shopping center facilities in their jurisdictions indicate the need for legal provisions which will allow the Pleasanton Police and Fire Departments to enforce certain California Vehicle Code and Municipal Traffic Code sections on the Stoneridge and other shopping centers; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 14, 1980 to give property owners an opportunity to give testimony regarding application of the Vehicle Code sections to their property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The following sections of the California Vehicle Code shall be enforced in parking facilities for the shopping centers listed on the attached Exhibit "A". 1. Illegally Parked Vehicles - Posted Fire Lanes (designated by Pleasanton Fire Department) 2. Unauthorized Vehicles Parked in Spaces Specifically Posted for Disabled Persons (§§22511.7 and 22511.8 CVC) 3. Basic Speed Law (§22350 CVC) 4. Exhibition of Speed (§§23109a, b, c and d CVC) Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
