CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAFfEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-267 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION OF CERTAIN <br />PROVISIONS OF THE VEHICLE CODE ON PRIVATE PARKING <br />FACILITIES SERVING SHOPPING CENTERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />recent discussions with police administrators who have <br />large shopping center facilities in their jurisdictions <br />indicate the need for legal provisions which will allow <br />the Pleasanton Police and Fire Departments to enforce <br />certain California Vehicle Code and Municipal Traffic <br />Code sections on the Stoneridge and other shopping <br />centers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a public hearing was held on October 14, 1980 to give <br />property owners an opportunity to give testimony <br />regarding application of the Vehicle Code sections <br />to their property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The following sections of the California Vehicle <br /> Code shall be enforced in parking facilities for the <br /> shopping centers listed on the attached Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />1. Illegally Parked Vehicles - Posted Fire Lanes <br /> (designated by Pleasanton Fire Department) <br />2. Unauthorized Vehicles Parked in Spaces Specifically <br /> Posted for Disabled Persons (§§22511.7 and 22511.8 <br /> CVC) <br />3. Basic Speed Law (§22350 CVC) <br />4.
