CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-288 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING STAFF TO PREPARE APPLICATION <br />TO ALAMEDA COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION <br />TO REQUEST INITIATION OF PROCEEDINGS FOR PROPOSED <br />ANNEXATION NO. 80 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, <br />beginning with Section 35000 of the Government Code <br />an affected city, as therein defined, may by resolution <br />adopted by its legislative body, make a proposal for <br />an "Annexation and Detachments" and request initiation <br />of proceedings thereon; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is an "affected city" for an <br />annexation proposal which contains territory proposed <br />to be annexed as part of said City; and <br /> <br />W24EREAS, <br /> <br />the owners of the 43 acres of land located between <br />Foothill Road and 1-680, approximately 800 feet south <br />of Muirwood Drive have requested the City Council to <br />initiate proceedings to cause such property to be <br />annexed to the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council instructs City Staff to prepare a <br /> resolution of annexation for the area to be known as <br /> Annexation No. 80 pursuant to the Municipal Organization <br /> Act of 1977. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 17, 1980 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart nd Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmembers - Mohr and Wood <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />H~e,~it~ey <br /> <br /> <br />
