CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-287 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO, 76-79 (ESTABLISHING <br />TRAFFIC REGULATIONS FOR CITY STREETS) BY AMENDING <br />SECTION 6 "NO PARKING ZONES" BY ADDING SUBSECTION 6b-2 <br />REGARDING NO PARKING ON BLACK AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, on April 12, 1976, adopted Resolution <br />No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic Regulations <br />for City Streets); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended Resolution <br /> No. 76-79; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the proposed development in this area will increase the <br />on-street parking thus increasing the number of conflicts <br />between bicycles and motorists; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council has determined it necessary to eliminate <br />parking on both sides of Black Avenue from Hopyard Road <br />to the end of the curve to the east. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Resolution No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic <br /> Regulations for City Streets) is hereby amended by adding <br /> Subsection 6b-2 as follows: <br /> <br /> "6b-2 Black Avenue, from Hopyard Road to the end <br /> of the curve to the east on both sides of the <br /> street." <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON NOVEMBER 17, 1980 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None ~C~E~ <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None ~ <br />ATTEST: / ' <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
