CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 80-284 AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED UNDER PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF KOTTINGER PLACE - PARKING FACILITIES PROJECT NO. 80-9 AND AWARD OF BID TO J. W. V. CONSTRUCTION, INC. WHEREAS, the bid opening for the improvement of Kottinger Place Project No. 80-9, was scheduled on November 5, 1980 and no bids were received; and since the bid opening, the staff has contacted two contractors who had indicated they were interested bidding on this project; and in WHEREAS, the bids were reviewed by the City Council on November 17, 1980; and WHEREAS, the bid of J. W. V. CONSTRUCTION, INC. was determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended that the bid of J. W. V. CONSTRUCTION, INC. be accepted; and WHEREAS, this project is sponsored by the Pleasanton Housing Authority and is being funded by H.C.D. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The bid of J. W. V. CONSTRUCTION, INC. in the amount of $5,000.00 for the improvement of Kottinger Place - Parking Facilities, Project No. 80-9, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a contract with J. W. V. CONSTRUCTION, INC. for the improvements specificed above. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
