BOX 520 -:- PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA 94566 <br /> <br />November 17, 1980 <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-281 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION POSTHUMOUSLY HONORING JOHN McWILLIAMS, SR., FOR <br />HIS CONTRIBUTIONS AND SERVICE TO THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />JO~N McWILLIAMS, SR., served the community of Pleasanton faithfully <br />for over 20 ~ears in both civic duties and public service; and <br /> <br />he served ~he City on the Planning Commission, City Council, and as <br />Mayor and was an influential force behind the restoration of Century <br />House; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, he substantially and uniquely gave of himself to the fabric of growth <br /> of the tm~n he loved so dearly; and <br /> <br />he exhibited the fine characteristics of skillfulness, perserverance, <br />intelligence, candidness and wit -- all of which formed a composite <br />of a man whose traits will leave an indelible mark on our community. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />That the City of Pleasanton respectfully extolls JOHN McWILLIAMS, SR., <br />and honors him posthumously for the profound influence he has made on <br />local City affairs and his immeasurable gift to public service. <br /> <br />Kenneth R.
