CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-317 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEDICATION OF 1.36 ACRES OF <br />LAND FROM THOMAS AND MARGARET McMANUS AND AUTHORIZING <br />SALE OF SAID PROPERTY TO CROCKER HOMES, INC. <br /> <br />Thomas McManus is the owner of property adjacent to the <br />Youth Sports Park and directly east of the first phase <br />of the Crocker Homes development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, McManus offered to construct for the city two tennis <br /> courts on the adjacent park property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Park and Recreation Commission requested that the <br />tennis courts be constructed elsewhere and that Mr. <br />McManus provide funds in lieu of property valued at <br />$50,000; and <br /> <br />Mr. McManus proposed dedicating a small parcel of land <br />to the City of Pleasanton worth approximately $50,000 <br />which the City could in turn sell to Crocker Homes; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission approved the waiver of parcel <br /> map to make possible this transfer. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Accepts the dedication of 1.36 acres of land from <br /> Thomas and Margaret McManus evidenced by a Gift Deed <br /> from Thomas K. McManus and Margaret F. McManus to <br /> the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the sale of said 1.36 acres to Crocker <br /> Homes, Inc. for the sum of $51,000. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes the Mayor to execute a Grant Deed to <br /> Crocker Homes, Inc. and attendant escrow instructions <br /> and authorizes the City Manager to execute a Certificate <br /> of Acceptance of the McManus dedication. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
