CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-306 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF APPLICATION <br />FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE UNDER FEDERAL CIVIL DEFENSE <br />ACT OF 1950 AS AMENDED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is to the benefit of the City of Pleasanton to <br />apply to the federal government for financial <br />assistance under the Federal Civil Defense Act of <br />1950, as amended; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />City Council received a report from the Assistant to <br />the City Manager requesting authorization to execute <br />the application for funds and providing a form of <br />resolution which is attached hereto as Exhibit A <br />and by this reference made a part hereof. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes R. T. Parker, Assistant Director, and <br /> Sheriff Glenn Dyer, Director, of the Alameda County <br /> Office of Emergency Services to execute for and on <br /> behalf of the City of Pleasanton applications and <br /> documents necessary to obtain federal financial <br /> assistance under the Federal Civil Defense Act of <br /> 1950, as amended. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall be effective irmnediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED DECE~IBER 9, 1980 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br /> <br /> ~ak~e~, C lerk <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />eviFn~,~~orney <br /> <br /> <br />
