CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-301 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS REGARDING VINEYARD AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at their meeting of November 12, 1980 the Planning <br />Commission considered the Vineyard Avenue Zoning and <br />Land Use Study prepared by the Alameda County Planning <br />Department; and <br /> <br />the above study was submitted to the City Council for <br />their consideration at the request of the Boar.d of <br />Supervisors; and <br /> <br />Council received public testimony at its meeting of <br />November 25, 1980 regarding various zoning alternatives <br />of County property in the area on both sides of Vineyard <br />Avenue from the eastern City Limit Line to a point of <br />approximately 7,000 feet east of that Line. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: To recommend to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors <br /> that only the area on the south side of Vineyard Avenue <br /> (approximately 90 acres) be rezoned and that this be rezoned <br /> to a minimum lot size of 2-1/2 acres, and that the portion <br /> of the study area north of Vineyard Avenue between the <br /> eastern City Limit Line and the bend in Vineyard Avenue <br /> would be an appropriate site for manufactured housing or <br /> mobile homes once urban services can be provided to the <br /> area and after Pico Avenue is connected to Stanley Boulevard <br /> to provide alternate access. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON NOVEMBER 25, 1980 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />n Ctiy Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
