CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-338 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PlAN FIXING SALARIES <br />AND BENEFITS FOR MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL PERSONNEL FOR <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON NOT INCLUDING THE CITY MANAGER AND <br />CITY ATTORNEY AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 79-207, AND <br />AMENDING THE BUDGET ACCORDINGLY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the establishment and designation of certain <br /> employees as management and confidential employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended salary ranges and supplementary benefits <br /> for the period October 1, 1980, through September 30, 1981, for manage~nent <br /> and confidential employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has previously, by Resolution No. 79-207, adopted a compen- <br /> sation plan for the above employees, which resolution must now be repealed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The salary ranges and supplementary benefits for the period commencing <br /> October 1, 1980, and ending September 30, 1981, shall be as set forth in <br /> Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. The salary ranges and supplementary benefits for confidential employees <br /> for the period commencing October 1, 1980, and ending September 30, 1981, <br /> shall be as set forth in Exhibit B attached hereto and incorporated herein <br /> by reference. <br /> <br />Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to adjust salary levels including associated <br /> benefit costs by an aggregate amount not to exceed 10 percent of existing <br /> total costs. <br /> <br />Section 4. The City Manager is authorized to grant additional merit increases for <br /> exceptional performance, the aggregate amount not to exceed two (2) percent <br /> of the total management and confidential employee cost. <br /> <br />Section 5. The 1980-81 Budget of the City of Pleasanton is amended accordingly. <br /> <br />Section 6. Resolution No. 79-207 is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 7. Except as provided herein to the contrary the terms and provisions of <br /> this Resolution shall not effect the applicability of the Personnel Rules <br /> of the City of Pleasanton management and confidential employees who are not <br /> exempt from said Rules. <br /> <br />Section 8. The salary and supplementary benefits set forth in this Resolution be the <br /> only compensation for the positions set forth in Exhibits A and B hereto and <br /> there shall be no right to receive benefits contained in any Memoranda of <br /> Understanding with the City's recognized employee organizations which are <br /> not included in the salaries and supplementary benefits set forth herein. <br /> It is the City Council's intention that there shall be mutual exclusivity <br /> between the compensation plans set forth in this Resolution and the items <br /> contained in Memoranda of Understanding. <br /> <br /> <br />
