CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAmeDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-8 RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR ZONING A PORTION OF RECENTLY ANNEXED PROPERTY INCLUDED IN ANNEXATION NO. 78 CONSISTING OF APPROX- IMATELY 127 ACRES LOCATED EAST OF THE EXTENSION OF VALLEY AVENUE BETWEEN BERNAL AVENUE AND THE ARROYO DEL VALLE TO P (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL) DISTRICT AND A (AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT ICHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of January 13, 1981 received a proposed negative declaration for zoning a portion of recently annexed property included in Annexation No. 78 consisting of approximately 127 acres located east of the extension of Valley Avenue between Bernal Avenue and the Arroyo Del Valle to P (Public.and Institutional) District and A (Agricultural) District; and WHEREAS, staff has determined that the Droposed zoning is a project for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS. an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for the project; and WHEREAS the City Council at its meeting of January 13, 1981 also received that Initial Study dated December 3, 1980; and WHEREAS each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had been published in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation; and WHEREAS, the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
