CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-5 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE PRIORITY PLAN FOR <br />EXPENDITURE OF THE ALAMEDA COUNTY SHARE OF THE <br />PROPOSITION I CALIFORNIA PARKLAND BOND ACT OF <br />1980 FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the California Parkland Bond Act, Proposition I on <br />the November, 1980 ballot, was passed by the voters of <br />the State; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the California Parkland Bond Act provides $3,896,850 for <br />distribution to eligible jurisdictions within Alameda <br />County for acquisition and development of property for <br />local and regional park and recreation purposes and for <br />historical preservation, to be distributed by a priority <br />plan for expenditure of the fund as established by the <br />State of California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Council recognizes the need for funding for historical <br />projects, but feels this need should be met by local <br />jurisdictions. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council recommends the following priority <br /> plan for the Alameda County share of the California <br /> Parkland Bond Act funds: <br /> <br />The cities and special districts within Alameda <br />County shall receive eighty-five per cent (85%) <br />of the County allocation of the California Park- <br />land Bond Act Funds. <br /> <br />The Regional Park Agencies shall receive fifteen <br />per cent (15%) of the County allocation of the <br />California Parkland Bond Act Funds. <br /> <br />Section 2: All agencies are encouraged to include historical <br /> resources preservations projects. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 13, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> ' K,e~~~.Wood a~or Mercer <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephar , Moh , <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> RCER,MAYOR <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk~'J~evine.
