CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-4 A RESOLUTION APPROVING ALAMEDA COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY'S REVISED SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT WHEREAS, the State of California requires that the solid waste -management plan adopted by each county be reviewed every three years; and WHEREAS, the firm of Brown and Caldwell has been employed to review the county's solid waste management plan adopted in 1976 and, also, to incorporate with that plan two facility plans adopted by the Alameda County Solid Waste Management authority in 1977 and 1978; and WHEREAS, the Pleasanton City Council held the required public hearing to review the solid waste management plan and have requested that Chapter 4 of the plan be modified to include the following language: "Solid waste management systems and resource recovery technologies are rapidly changing. The facilities presented in this Chapter have been selected by the Alameda County Solid Waste Management Authority based on the information presented in the Appendices of the plan; because the facilities can adequately manage the projected quantities of solid waste generated in Alameda County; and because they are the most economical set of facilities investigated during the plan update. However, other facilities may prove to be more economical and more feasible in the future as new technologies emerge. Chapter 5 includes a summary of different projects under investigation by the project."; and the revised solid waste management plan approved by the Alameda County Solid Waste Management did include in Chapter 4, the language requested by the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves the revised 1980 Alameda County Solid Waste Management Plan. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. III
