CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-25 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF CONSTRUCTION OF LEFT-TURN POCKET <br />FROM VALLEY AVENUE INTO TAM DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on July 12, 1978, the Planning Commission approved <br />design plans from TAM Investment for their development <br />on the corner of Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue, which <br />approval was upheld by the City Council on August 8, <br />1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />since this approval, TAM has received input from <br />the adjacent property owners who are concerned about <br />traffic eastbound on Valley Avenue wanting to turn <br />into the center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />to facilitate traffic flow and access to <br />proposal has been developed to install a <br />pocket and median break on Valley Avenue; <br /> <br />the center, <br />left-turn <br />and <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this request has been reviewed by the Staff Traffic <br />Committee and was found to be an acceptable solution <br />to the problem; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of February 10, 1981, Council received <br />a report recommending that Item No. 19 of Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 1654 be amended to allow <br />construction of the left-turn pocket. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, TIm CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: Approves amendment of Planning Comraission Resolution <br />No. 1654, Item No. 19, to allow construction of the <br />above-described left-turn pocket and median break on <br />Valley Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 10, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ' APP OVED iS TO <br /> mes R,k Clef <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> e~ine City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
