CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-54 <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT DEED FROM ALBERT C. <br />HAIGHT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PETERS AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Alameda County Right-of-Way Department has succeeded <br />in acquiring on behalf of the City of Pleasanton a <br />parcel of land from Albert C. Haight; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this land is necessary for the construction of Peters <br /> Avenue from Rose Avenue to Bernal Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has reviewed the documents and finds everything <br />to be in order including the purchase price, which <br />conforms to the appraisal accepted by the County on <br />behalf of the City; md <br /> <br />at their meeting of March 10, 1981, the City Council <br />reviewed a report from the Associate Civil Engineer <br />indicating that the acceptance of this Grant Deed <br />is in the public interest. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes acceptance of the Grant Deed from Albert <br /> C. Haight to the City of Pleasanton for purposes of <br /> constructing Peters Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the City Manager to execute the Certificate <br /> of Acceptance of Real Property. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes staff to deposit $4,000.00 into escrow <br /> for the purchase of said property. <br /> <br />Section 4: Authorizes the Director of Public Works and Mayor to <br /> execute the Real Property Purchase Contract. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MARCH 10, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />ABSENT:: None . <br /> <br /> vin~e~ C~ney <br /> <br /> <br />
