CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-69 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PERMIT APPLICATION FOR <br />GOLDEN STATE AQUATICS SWIM CLUB "FUN RUN" <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 10, 1981, the City Council <br />received a report dated March 4, 1981, from the <br />Assistant to the City Manager, regarding an application <br />from the Golden State Aquatics Swim Club for a permit <br />to sponsor a "Fun Run" on April 12, 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has recommended that the City Council approve <br /> the application. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1: Approves the permit application of Golden State <br />Aquatics Swim Club for a "fun run" on April 12, 1981 <br />subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. All residents be notified of the closure of the <br /> street at least 72 hours in advance, by the sponsor. <br /> <br />The sponsor to provide ten adult volunteers to be <br />posted along the route by the police department to <br />control the runners. <br /> <br />c. The sponsor to arrange for a standby ambulance. <br /> <br />d. The sponsor to arrange for Red Cross or other certified <br /> person(s) to standby in the immediate area. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes adjusting the 1980-81 budget in the amount <br /> of $173.00 to accommodate said costs. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MARCH 10, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None ~ <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk ~ n~e7 ~ <br /> H E. i City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
