CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-98 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PROCEED <br />WITH ABATEMENT OF WEEDS, RUBBISH OR REFUSE UPON OR <br />IN FRONT OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTIES WITHIN THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON WHICH CONSTITUTE PUBLIC NUISANCES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of March 24, 1981, <br />adopted Resolution No. 81-71 (Declaring that weeds, <br />rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain described <br />properties within the City of Pleasanton constitute <br />a public nuisance and that the same shall be abated, <br />and setting a public hearing in regard to same);and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 81-71 was adopted pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Government Code Sections 39501-39588; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said Resolution designated April 14, 1981, at the hour <br />of 8:00 p.m., at the Pleasanton City Council Chambers, <br />at the Alameda County Fairgrounds Cafeteria, as the <br />time, date and place to hear and consider objections <br />to the abatement and removal of the weeds, rubbish or <br />refuse upon or in front of certain described properties <br />within the City of Pleasanton more particularly set <br />forth in Exhibit A to Resolution No. 81-71. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section l:. On March 24, 1981, the City Council elected to proceed <br /> under the provisions of Government Code Sections 39501- <br /> 39588 and did declare as a public nuisance all weeds, <br /> rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain described <br /> properties within the City of Pleasanton as more particularly <br /> set forth in Exhibit A to Resolution No. 81-71. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Council fixed April 14, 1981, at the hour of <br /> 8:00 p.m., at the Alameda County Fair Grounds Cafeteria, <br /> as the time, date and place for hearing all objections <br /> to the proposal of removal of weeds, rubbish or refuse, <br /> and the Fire Prevention Officer was charged with the <br /> responsibility to perform the duties imposed by Govern- <br /> ment Code Sections 39560-39588, and he did prepare notices <br /> to destroy weeds and remove rubbish and refuse, and did <br /> in the time and manner prescribed by law cause copies of <br /> the notice to be conspicuously posted on or in front of <br /> the property where the nuisance exists; the City did mail <br /> written notice of the proposed abatement to all persons <br /> owning property described in Resolution 81-71 in the time, <br /> form and manner prescribed by law. <br /> <br /> <br />
