CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-88 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR 1980 <br />STATE GRANT MONEYS FOR THE AMADOR PARK PROJECT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the people of the State of California have enacted the <br />California Parklands Act of 1980, which provides funds <br />to the State of California and its political subdivisions <br />for acquiring lands and for developing facilities for <br />public recreation and historical purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been <br />delegated the responsibility for the administration of <br />the program within the state, setting up necessary <br />procedures governing application for local agencies under <br />.the program; and <br /> <br /> said procedures established by the State Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify <br /> by resolution the approval of applications prior to <br /> submission of said applications to the state; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicant <br /> must comply with; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the applicant agency will enter into an agreement with <br />the State of California for the acquisition and/or <br />development of the project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the filing of an application for 1980 <br /> state grant assistance for the Amador Park Project. <br /> <br />Section 2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances <br /> and certification in the application. <br /> <br />Section 3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient <br /> funds to operate and maintain the project. <br /> <br />Section 4. Certifies that said agency has reviewed and under- <br /> stands the General Provisions contained in the state/local <br /> agreement; and <br /> <br />Appoints the Director of Recreation and Human Resources <br />as agent of the city to conduct all negotiations, execute <br />and submit all documents including but not limited to <br />applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests, <br />and so on which may be necessary for the completion of <br />the aforementioned project. <br /> <br /> <br />
