CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 81-106 <br /> <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT DEED FROM NARCISA R. GARCIA <br /> FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PETERS AVENUE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Right of Way Department has succeeded <br /> in acquiring, on behalf of the City of Pleasanton, a <br /> parcel of land from Narcisa R. Garcia; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this land is necessary for the construction of Peters <br /> Avenue from Rose Avenue to Bernal Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the documents and finds everything to <br /> be in order including the purchase price, which conforms <br /> to the appraisal accepted by the County on behalf of the <br /> City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their meeting of April 28, 1981, the City Council <br /> reviewed a report from the Director of Public Works and <br /> Utilities indicating that the acceptance of this Grant <br /> Deed is in the public interest. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes acceptance of the Grant Deed from <br /> Narcisa R. Garcia to the City of Pleasanton for the <br /> purpose of constructing Peters Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the Certi- <br /> ficate of Acceptance of Real Property. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorizes staff to deposit $150,000.00 into escrow <br /> for the purchase of said property. <br /> <br />Section 4. Authorizes the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> and Mayor to execute the Real Property Purchase Contract. <br /> <br />Section 5. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON APRIL 28, 1981, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> es R.
