CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-103 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ~ED ABATEMENT PROGRAM FOR 1981 TO SPILKER TREE SERVICE AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that pursuant to Govern- ment Code Sections 39560 through 39588 there are weeds and rubbish in the City of Pleasanton which must be abated; and WHEREAS, the City Council on March 24, 1981, adopted Resolution No. 81-71, establishing a list of lots upon which weeds must be abated; and WHEREAS, after soliciting bids pursuant to specifications for weed abatement adopted by the City of Pleasanton, Spilker Tree Service was determined to be the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal has reviewed the bid and has recommended that Spilker Tree Service be designated as the City's contractor for weed abatement purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Determines that Spilker Tree Service be designated as the City's contractor for the purposes of performance of the City's 1981 weed abatement program pursuant to Resolution No. 81-71. Section 2: Authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement approved by the City Attorney with Spilker Tree Service for the performance of the work mentioned herein. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED APRIL 21, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: ATTEST: mes R.
