CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-127 RESOLUTION REGARDING THE DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT SUBMITTED TO THE ALAMEDA COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MOLLER QUARRY, PEPS{IT NO. SMP-9 WHEREAS, plans have been submitted to the Alameda County Planning Commission for the development of Moller Quarry, Permit No. SMP-9, on Foothill Road; and WHEREAS, a draft environmental impact report has been prepared and submitted to the City of Pleasanton for review; and WHEREAS, a public hearing is scheduled to consider the draft environmental impact report on May 4, 1981; and WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the Draft EIR and submitted a report to the City Council with their comments on errors and omissions in the Draft EIR; and WHEREAS, the City Council, having reviewed the material in the Draft EIR and the staff report, finds that the impacts of the project, especially those relating to traffic, noise, air pollution, aesthetics, and incompatibility of land use, would be individually and cumulatively substantial and would significantly affect the City and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Draft Environmental Impact Report on the Moller Quarry, Permit No. SMP-9 should be modified to cover those areas of impact listed in the attached comments on the Draft EIR, designated as Exhibit A and by this reference made a part hereof. Section 2: Urges the Alameda County Planning Commission to find the above-indicated affects to be significant. Section 3: Because of significant adverse impacts to the environ- ment, specifically traffic, noise, air pollution and other related problems already identified, the City Council opposes Permit No. SMP-9. Section 4: Authorizes Mayor Kenneth Mercer to present the City's position at the public hearing scheduled for May 4, 1981.
