CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-127 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING THE DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />REPORT SUBMITTED TO THE ALAMEDA COUNTY PLANNING <br />COMMISSION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MOLLER QUARRY, <br />PEPS{IT NO. SMP-9 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />plans have been submitted to the Alameda County Planning <br />Commission for the development of Moller Quarry, Permit <br />No. SMP-9, on Foothill Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a draft environmental impact report has been prepared <br /> and submitted to the City of Pleasanton for review; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing is scheduled to consider the draft <br /> environmental impact report on May 4, 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />city staff has reviewed the Draft EIR and submitted a <br />report to the City Council with their comments on errors <br />and omissions in the Draft EIR; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, having reviewed the material in the <br />Draft EIR and the staff report, finds that the impacts <br />of the project, especially those relating to traffic, <br />noise, air pollution, aesthetics, and incompatibility <br />of land use, would be individually and cumulatively <br />substantial and would significantly affect the City and <br />its residents. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Draft Environmental Impact Report on the Moller <br /> Quarry, Permit No. SMP-9 should be modified to cover <br /> those areas of impact listed in the attached comments <br /> on the Draft EIR, designated as Exhibit A and by this <br /> reference made a part hereof. <br /> <br />Section 2: Urges the Alameda County Planning Commission to find <br /> the above-indicated affects to be significant. <br /> <br />Section 3: Because of significant adverse impacts to the environ- <br /> ment, specifically traffic, noise, air pollution and <br /> other related problems already identified, the City <br /> Council opposes Permit No. SMP-9. <br /> <br />Section 4: Authorizes Mayor Kenneth Mercer to present the City's <br /> position at the public hearing scheduled for May 4, 1981. <br /> <br /> <br />
