CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-154 <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT DEED FROM KEVIN W. VUKOTA <br />AND LINDA L. VUKOTA, HIS WIFE, FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF PETERS AVENUE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Alameda County Right of Way Department has succeeded <br />in acquiring, on behalf of the City of Pleasanton, a <br />parcel of land from Kevin W. Vukota and Linda L. Vukota, <br />his wife; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this land is necessary for the construction of Peters <br /> Avenue from Rose Avenue to Bernal Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has reviewed the documents and finds everything to <br />be in order including the purchase price, which conforms <br />to the appraisal accepted by the County on behalf of <br />the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at their meeting of May 26, 1981, the City Council <br />reviewed a report from the Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities indicating that the acceptance of this Grant <br />Deed is in the public interest. <br /> <br />NOW, THEEFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes acceptance of the Grant Deed from Kevin W. <br /> Vukota and Linda L. Vukota, his wife, to the City of <br /> Pleasanton for the purpose of constructing Peters Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the Certificate <br /> of Acceptance of Real Property. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorizes staff to deposit $115,000.00 into escrow <br /> for the purchase of said property. <br /> <br />Section 4. Authorizes the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> and Mayor to execute the Real Property Purchase Contract. <br /> <br />Section 5. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
