CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-145 <br /> <br />WHEREAS; <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING TASK ORDER NO. 2 TO THE <br />AUGUST 13, 1980 AGREEMENT WITH CH2M HILL AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE TASK <br />ORDER <br /> <br />the City. of Pleasanton is authorized by the Livermore- <br />Amador Valley Water Management Agency (LAVWMA) to take <br />the lead in the 1 MGD industrial/non-retail commercial <br />expansion of the LAVWMA pipeline facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City entered into an agreement with CH2M Hill to <br />perform the engineering work related to the expansion, <br />with jobs to be directed by task order; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Task Order No. 1 included completion of a study to <br />determine the most cost effective way of increasing <br />the capacity in the pipeline and preparation of an <br />initial study and the appropriate environmental impact <br />documents to meet CEQA requirements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all work authorized under Task Order No. 1 has been <br /> completed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on April 17, 1981, the LAVWMA Board of Directors held a <br />public hearing at which they determined a negative <br />declaration was appropriate and selected the project <br />to create the additional 1 MGD capacity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the next step is to proceed with preparation of the <br />detailed engineering drawings and specifications to <br />go to bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City has entered into an agreement with CH2M Hill <br />for these services, however, the approval of Task Order <br />No. 2 is required to authorize the engineers to proceed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves Task Order No. 2 to the August 13, 1980 <br /> Agreement with CH2M Hill for preparation of the detailed <br /> engineering drawings and specifications to go to bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the City Manager to sign the Task Order <br /> on behalf of the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
