CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 81-165 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO BAY AREA <br /> SEALERS, INC. FOR THE SLURRY SEALING ON VARIOUS <br /> CITY STREETS, PROJECT NO. 81-9 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS,the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br /> slurry sealing on various city streets; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code No. 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Department advertised for <br /> bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were received on May 27, 1981, and it was determined <br /> that Bay Area Sealers, Inc. was the lowest responsible <br /> bidder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities, in his report <br /> dated May 28, 1981, recommended that said bid be accepted. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The bid of Bay Area Sealers, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $20,800.00 for the Slurry Sealing on Various City Streets, <br /> Project No. 81-9, is hereby accepted by City Council as the <br /> lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with <br /> Bay Area Sealers, Inc., for the improvements specified <br /> above and to increase the contract total to $30,000.00 <br /> by the addition of more square footage per a Contract <br /> Change Order. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 9, 1981, BY THE FOILOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> T~~ ~~ <br />J R W ~'~~ <br /> ames .
