CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-193 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTttORIZING STAFF TO NEGOTIATE WITH <br />THE ALAJ~DA COUNTY AGRICULATURAL FAIR ASSOCIATION <br />FOR USE OF THE YOUNG CALIFORNIA BUILDING FOR A <br />TENNIS PROGRAI~ FOR 1981-82 and 1982-83 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton Department of Recreation and <br />Human Resources has operated a tennis program at the <br />Young California Building for six years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council received a report from the Director <br />of the Department of Recreation and Human Resources <br />dated June 5, 1981 outlining the terms of the <br />existing contract and problems encountered in the <br />last year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is in the best interests of the community to continue <br />the Tennis Faire program and to extend the contract <br />provided the Fair Association would agree to repair <br />the roof and change the lights in the Young California <br />Building to a low energy luminaire. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Staff is authorized to enter into negotiations with <br /> the Alameda County Fairgrounds for use of the Young <br /> California Building for a tennis program for 1981-82, <br /> and 1982-83, from November 1 to March 31 of each year <br /> with an option for the month of April. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 23, 1981 BY TttE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None ~ <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br /> es R.
