CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-190 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH GEORGE OAKES <br />AND TEACHERS MANAGEMENT AND INVESTORS CORPORATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />George Oakes, representing the owners of an unimproved <br />parcel of land located west of Santa Rita Road and <br />adjacent to 1-580, has requested the City to enter <br />into a development deferment agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the purpose of the agreement would be to create a <br />period of eighteen (18) months in which no building <br />permits could be issued to the buyer of the property, <br />Teachers Management and Investors Corporation, thereby <br />extending the life of the sewer permits purchased by <br />Mr. Oakes; and <br /> <br />Council received a report from the City Attorney dated <br />June 2, 1981 in which he relayed the approval of the <br />Sewer Connnittee and determines that the City will benefit <br />from this agreement by providing the developer time for <br />careful development planning and preparation on a large <br />site in the City. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Agreement with George Oakes and Teachers <br /> Management and Investors Corporation. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the appropriate City officials to execute <br /> the agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> by this reference made a part hereof. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON JUNE 9, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, M r, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> ~, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
