CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-187 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF LEE J. <br />AMARAL TO CHANGE THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION OF A 0.27 ACRE LOT LOCATED AT 404 <br />ST. MARY STREET FROM "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" <br />TO "CObR4ERCIAL AND OFFICES" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on June 9, 1981, the City Council reviewed a request <br />by Lee J. Amaral to change the General Plan land use <br />designation of a 0.27 acre lot located at 404 St. Mary <br />Street from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial <br />and Offices;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time <br />the public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan <br />land use designation change; and <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing, the City Council <br />deliberated upon the proposed amendment, considering <br />the information set forth in the staff report of the <br />Director of Planning and Community Development and <br />attachments thereto. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Denies the application of Lee J. Amaral to change <br /> the General Plan land use designation of a 0.27 acre <br /> lot located at 404 St. Mary Street from "High Density <br /> Residential" to "Commercial and Offices," and instructs <br /> staff to study the west side of Peters Avenue with an <br /> eye toward establishing a logical progression for <br /> commercial development on both sides of Peters Avenue. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON JUNE 9, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, M hr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None ~ER~.MAyOR~.~.~4/ <br />ABSENT: None <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk ~v~E.~~' ~ <br /> E ine, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
