CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-183 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR A CHANGE TO THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DESIGNATION <br />OF AN APPROXIMATELY 573+ ACRE SITE OWNED BY PRUDENTIAL <br />INSURANCE COMPANY FROM ~GENERAL AND LIMITED INDUSTRIAL" <br />AND"COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" TO "INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL <br />AND OFFICES" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of June 9, 1981, the City Council received <br />a proposed mitigated negative declaration for change <br />to 'the General Plan land use designation of an approxi- <br />mately 573% acre site bounded by Hopyard Road on the <br />west, Arroyo Mocho on the south, Southern Pacific Rail- <br />road tracks on the east and a line approximately 1400 <br />feet south of Highway 1-580 on the north from "General <br />and Limited Industrial" and "Commercial and Offices" <br />to "Industrial, Commercial and Offices;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial <br />Study dated April 28, 1981 and received the recommenda- <br />tions of the staff and Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time <br />the public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan <br />change; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local guide- <br />lines governing the preparation of mitigated negative <br />declarations and environmental impact reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in reviewing the Initial Study, the City Council has <br />determined that there may be significant impacts upon <br />the environment,but that conditions of approval would <br />render these potential impacts insignificant. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the <br /> change to the General Plan land use designation of an <br /> approximately 573+ acre site bounded by Hopyard Road <br /> on the west, Arroyo Mocho on the south, Southern Pacific <br /> Railroad tracks on the ease and a line approximately <br /> 1400 feet south of Highway 1-580 on the north, from <br /> "General and Limited Industrial" and "Commercial and <br /> Offices" to "Industrial, Commercial and Offices," <br /> subject to mitigating conditions as set forth in <br /> Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> <br />
