CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-183 RESOLUTION APPROVING MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A CHANGE TO THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DESIGNATION OF AN APPROXIMATELY 573+ ACRE SITE OWNED BY PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY FROM ~GENERAL AND LIMITED INDUSTRIAL" AND"COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" TO "INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 9, 1981, the City Council received a proposed mitigated negative declaration for change to 'the General Plan land use designation of an approxi- mately 573% acre site bounded by Hopyard Road on the west, Arroyo Mocho on the south, Southern Pacific Rail- road tracks on the east and a line approximately 1400 feet south of Highway 1-580 on the north from "General and Limited Industrial" and "Commercial and Offices" to "Industrial, Commercial and Offices;" and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated April 28, 1981 and received the recommenda- tions of the staff and Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan change; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guide- lines governing the preparation of mitigated negative declarations and environmental impact reports; and WHEREAS, in reviewing the Initial Study, the City Council has determined that there may be significant impacts upon the environment,but that conditions of approval would render these potential impacts insignificant. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the change to the General Plan land use designation of an approximately 573+ acre site bounded by Hopyard Road on the west, Arroyo Mocho on the south, Southern Pacific Railroad tracks on the ease and a line approximately 1400 feet south of Highway 1-580 on the north, from "General and Limited Industrial" and "Commercial and Offices" to "Industrial, Commercial and Offices," subject to mitigating conditions as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein.
