CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAJ~EDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-220 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING PARCEL AS SURPLUS <br /> <br />WttEREAS, <br /> <br />the City owns a small parcel of land (approximately <br />4,580 sq. ft.) located on the northeast corner of the <br />intersection of Rose Avenue and Peters Avenue which <br />is a remnant of a lot purchased for Peters Avenue <br />right-of-way, but not required as part of the new <br />street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after discussion with City staff and adjacent property <br />owners, it has been determined that the property can <br />be offered for sale. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, TttE CITY COUNCIL OF T}~ CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Declares the parcel of land (approximately 4,580 <br /> sq. ft.) located on the northeast corner of the <br /> intersection of Rose Avenue and Peters Avenue as <br /> surplus. <br /> <br />Section 2: Instructs staff to retain an appraiser to assess the <br /> value of the property. <br /> <br />Section 3: Upon receipt of the appraiser's report, fix a minimum <br /> price on the property based on the appraiser's report. <br /> <br />Section 4: Notify all agencies required by law to be given first <br /> opportunity to purchase surplus property. <br /> <br />Section 5: Advertise by public notice that the parcel will be <br /> offered for sale and invite sealed bids. <br /> <br />Section 6: This resolution shall become effective in~nediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON JULY 14, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br /> : · <br />AB Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br /> YOR~C~-·, ·, <br /> <br /> er, <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk~ <br /> Levine, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
