CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-202 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN 'OPPOSITION TO THE ALTERNATE <br />ROUTE FROM MOLLER QUARRY <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 81-127 has previously informed the Alameda County <br />Planning Commission of its opposition to the Moller <br />Quarry, SMP-9, on Foothill Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Department of Alameda County has recently <br />informed the City of Pleasanton of a proposed <br />alternate access road intended to reduce the impacts <br />of the quarry on Foothill Road residents and commercial <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received numerous comments from <br />residential and commercial property owners in the area <br />regarding the proposed alternate route; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council discussed the route at its meeting <br /> of June 23, 1981. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Urges the Alameda County Planning Commission to <br /> carefully consider the potentially serious and adverse <br /> impacts of additional gravel truck traffic on Dublin <br /> Canyon Road with particular regard to its heavy use <br /> as a frontage road for the freeway. <br /> <br />Section 2: Urges the Alameda County Planning Commission to deny <br /> Permit No. SMP-9 due to the noise, air pollution and <br /> dust problems caused to the properties along Foothill <br /> Road in the City of Pleasanton and due to the traffic <br /> problem generated by the use of large gravel vehicles <br /> on Foothill Road or in the alternative on Dublin Canyon <br /> Road. <br /> <br />Section 3: Opposes the alternate haul route requested by the <br /> applicant as well as the overall project. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
