CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF PLEASA~[FON <br /> <br />ALA2~EDA COUiITY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 170. 81-238 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWAPd] OF CONTRACT FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF SUiIOL BOULEVARD BIKE LANE, PROJECT <br />NO. 81-7, TO EUGENE G. ALVES CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, <br />INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the <br /> construction of the Sunol Boulevard bike lane, <br /> Project No. 81-7; and <br /> <br />WttEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code 37900, et seq., the City <br />Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br />regarding this project; and <br /> <br />~&IREAS bids were reviewed by the City Council on July 28, <br /> 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the bid of Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc. <br />in the amount of $74,994.50 was determined to be <br />the lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />IhrtlERFg. S, <br /> <br />the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br />that the bid of Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, <br />Inc. be accepted; and <br /> <br />~IEREAS, the available funds to complete this project are <br /> $75,000.00. <br /> <br />flOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc. <br /> in the amount of $74,994.50 for the construction of <br /> the Sunol Boulevard bike lane, Project No. 81-7, is <br /> hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest respon- <br /> sible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City is authorized to enter into a <br /> Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc. <br /> improvements specified above. <br /> <br />contract with <br />for the <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />TIIIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JULY 28, 1981 BY Tt~ FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
