CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASAfFrON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 81-226 RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATION TO ALA~EDA COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION CO~ISSION REQUESTING INITIATION OF PROCEEDINGS FOR PROPOSED ANNEXATION i70.86 PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT OF 1977 ~EREAS, pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, beginning with Section 35000 of the Government Code, an affected city, as therein defined, may by resolution adopted by its legislative body, make a proposal for an "Annexation and Detachments" and request initiation of proceedings thereon; and WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is an "affected city" for an annexation proposal which contains territory proposed to be annexed as part of said city; and WHEREAS, the o~mer of said property has consented to this annexation. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TtIE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: This City Council, as the legislative body of an affected city, does hereby make a proposal for annexation of the area known as Annexation No. 86 pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 and does hereby request proceedings pursuant to such act. Section 2: The annexation shall consist of the following change in organization: That 16,000 sq. ft., more or less, area adjacent to the city limits on the southeast corner of Sunol Boulevard and Happy Valley Road, shall be changed from unincoroorated Alameda County lands to land within the C{ty of Pleasanton. Said territory is found to be uninhabited and is more specifically described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein. Section 3: This City Council does hereby declare that its reasons for proposing this annexation are: The requested annexation appears to be a logical expansion of the city boundaries and would allow appropriate city control of any future development of the property.
